Characteristics of Wet Web
The characterization of wet paper web is provided by:
- measurement of initial wet tensile strength
- analysis of flocculation tendency of pulp
- measurement of fiber length distribution of pulp
- measurement of WRV value and the beating degree
This characterization allows to:
- estimate the quality of virgin pulp, mechanical pulp (as GWP, TMP, CTMP) and de-inked pulp (DIP)
- optimize softwood and hardwood pulp furnish, mechanical pulp furnish, the furnish of annual plants pulp, bamboo and bagasse pulp furnish, DIP and fillers furnish
- optimize the beating process (the runability of refiners and selection bar patterns of beaten garnitures)
- improve runability of the wet process part of paper machine
